About Me
I am the founder of GetComparisons. In the summer of 2010 I had an epiphany of sorts – to build a Wikipedia for comparisons. It was shortly after this that I started writing this blog. I originally set out to write this blog as an information piece, but I think it plays an equally important role as a medium through which I motivate myself.
I loved Ayn Rand’s original plan of introducing each chapter of the Fountainhead with a quote from Nietzsche; so in that vein I’ve decided to start each post with a quote that resonates with me at that point.
I try not to think about where this is idea is going to end up, because if one really thinks about it, a new venture involves the creation of something untested and unsolicited, born of a thought in an entrepreneur’s head and after spending countless hours and dollars on it, it has the potential of becoming nothing more than just a glorified pet project.
All I can say about the future is that I am looking forward to it. One parting thought, one of my favorite authors, Kurt Vonnegut said:
“Write to please just one person. If you open a window and make love to the world, so to speak, your story will get pneumonia.”
I am going to try my hardest to write like I am the only reader.
